How are you all doing? I hope enjoying the summer months.
I have to say that I am not good at this. I started of very enthusiastic about blogging, great way to vent, share news, what's new, what's old etc. However, as you can see ......I've done nothing!!! As we get "younger" trying to keep up with all this new technology is time consuming, but to stay in business, its almost a must.
So with that said what has been happening????? Alot!!! I've been on the road doing what I do best, teaching. Taliah's World Natural Hair Show was phenomenal show. It was so packed that they had to shut the doors. I was like a child candy store. It was just beautiful to see sooooo many sisters sporting their natural hairstyles and wearing it proudly. The vendors with new products, handmade crafts, and yes my new T's went down very well!! My models, Bridgette, Sancia, Paulette and Sharon, did my proud. I taught two classes, Curly Twists, and Loc Styling.
Bronner Bros show in Maryland was good. Classrooms were packed. I taught Transition to Natural Hair and Loc Extension. What I like about this show is that my class is filled with Professional Stylist eager and hungry to learn how to transition their clients and provide better transitional services. My Instructional DVD's did well. I hope those who purchased benefited from them.
The Premiere Orlando. Well well well, if you have not been to this show, you have not been to a hair show. Its two days filled with amazing, cutting, coloring, styling, mega stage shows......its like WOW!!! Aziza Yasmin, and Essence China (Natural Hair stylists') were also blow away with what they saw. The show needs to be three days. You need a day and a half each for classroom and walk the floor, there is so much to take in. Yes my classes were packed, and thanks to Phyllis, Yasmin and Essence for their help. I taught Loc Extension and Curly Twists. I was also blessed to have to have
Asha Mandella, Gusiness World Book of Records holder for the longest loc, at my booth. Yes she took people breath away as they approached the booth they could see hair......as they got closer, more hair........and then there was more hair.....and finally there was Asha! The facial expressions were priceless!!! I think Asha's face has a fixed smile on it with all the pictures she has to pose for. Love your spirit Asha and hanks for tacking the time out to attend.

So what's next......working on putting some Hands On classes together. Starting and Maintaing Locs, Loc Extensions, and different Braiding Techniques. Save the date13th November, 2011, Natural Hair Care Seminar, Vibz Uptown, Hartford CT.
